SENIOR DATA ANALYST:

On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Senior Data Analyst for a permanent role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Guelph office.

SENIOR DATA ANALYST - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Data Analyst will drive data-driven decision-making by leveraging advanced data analytics techniques. The role involves designing, building, and deploying comprehensive reporting and analysis solutions, providing analysis and actionable insight through effective storytelling and data visualization.

SENIOR DATA ANALYST - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights from complex and large data sets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in software programming languages such as Python
  • Advanced database and SQL skills, including Microsoft SQL
  • Familiarity with data management, data analysis, and ETL processes, including data modeling and transformations
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

SENIOR DATA ANALYST – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) preferred
  • Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate preferred
  • Any additional certifications in data science, data engineering, or related areas are an asset
Responsibilities
  • Design, maintain, and optimize systems and databases for reporting purposes, including fixing coding errors, running job tools, and performing other data-related tasks
  • Develop and document processes and procedures that enable stakeholders to understand and replicate data analysis steps
  • Utilize data mining, model building, and other analytical techniques to develop new datasets and data-driven solutions
  • Advocate data governance and data management standards and guidelines within your team’s products and services
  • Generate and manage a repository of reports and analyses, ensuring accuracy and accessibility
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to discover patterns, anomalies, and relationships in data
