Reporting to the Principal Adviser - Strategy, Governance and Finance, the Senior Data Analyst will lead meaningful data projects that inform public reporting, policy development and regulatory action. Integrating data from a variety of internal and external sources, your work will directly contribute to improving workplace regulation across Victoria.
The Senior Data Analyst will work with stakeholders across the organisation, the department and government to understand their information needs and deliver evidence-based insights that drive change. They will also play a key role in mentoring staff and championing data literacy across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, demonstrated data literacy, and a proven track record in stakeholder engagement.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of regulatory practice or the ability to acquire this knowledge quickly. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure are also required.
