SKILLS + EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of professional experience in the digital advertising/marketing industry.
  • University or college degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Statistics or related discipline
  • Ad buying experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working with BI tools (such as Adverity, Grow, Tableau) to create data visualizations
  • Familiar with MSExcel, including vlookup, array formulas, pivot tables and charts
  • Excellent communication in both written and verbal English, including the ability to produce clear and well-organized documentation

  • Experience with Looker Studio would be a great asset!

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

War Room is looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our growing team! Working alongside the Data team and reporting to the CRO, you will be analyzing campaign data from a number of advertising platforms and providing actionable recommendations to improve performance. We are looking for a strong storyteller who has the ability to translate complex data into clear clear and actionable insights.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Data Analysis and Insights:


    • Deliver actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making for internal teams and clients through creating and presenting clear and understandable data visualizations.

    • Suggest, manipulate, analyze, and storytell with data from various advertising data sources using different analysis tools.
    • Create, maintain, and optimize client reports and interactive dashboards by pulling campaign data from various advertising platforms.
    • Define, track, and monitor analytics to assess campaign KPIs.
    • Identify trends, issues, and areas of opportunity from the campaign data.
    • Strategic Leadership (Non-Management Role):


      • Demonstrate strong strategic leadership by guiding the team in developing data-driven strategies that align with client goals, without direct management responsibilities.

      • Ability to think beyond day-to-day tasks and see the broader impact of data on business outcomes, while collaborating closely with team members to influence and shape strategy.
      • Advanced Client Management:


        • Lead the analysis and reporting for complex client accounts, ensuring that all deliverables are aligned with client objectives and provide clear, actionable insights.

        • Mentorship and Training:


          • Mentor and train junior analysts, helping them to develop their skills in data analysis, strategic thinking, and storytelling.

          • Act as a resource for team members when they encounter challenges in their work.
          • Communication:


            • Communicate the analysis in both written and verbal ways to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

            • Support ad-hoc analysis requests from other teams.
