KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Progressive experience in developing data-driven insights which enable strategic decision making.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline (e.g., mathematics, statistics, data analysis) is an asset or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Advanced knowledge of data analysis, statistical methods, and related data quality assurance best practices.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, Python, and Plateau.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret and synthesize complex data accurately.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills to engage with senior leadership and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Experience managing complex projects in multi-stakeholder environments with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting with multiple competing priorities.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making in managing complex and sensitive issues.
  • High attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and credibility.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills to simplify technical content for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills to articulate insights clearly and effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Leads the design, development and implementation of data analytics strategies and solutions to support organizational decision-making.
  • Investigates, gathers and integrates data from multiple sources, conducts in-depth analysis, and interprets complex data to identify trends, patterns and insights.
  • Leads the development of written materials to communicate insights to senior leadership, including high-quality reports, presentations, and briefing materials.
  • Translates complex data into compelling visualizations including dashboards, placemats to form strategic narratives that align with business goals.
  • Builds collaborative cross-functional partnerships to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions to enhance decision making.
  • Ensures data accuracy and integrity by following best practices in analysis, reporting and documentation.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends, tools, technologies and best practices in data analytics, reporting and business intelligence in the relevant landscape.
