THE POSITION AT A GLANCE

BNP Paribas HR Analytics & Insights team delivers decision-supporting dashboards and headcount reports to HR Management, HR Subject Matters Experts (SMEs) and Business leads. As part of the 2025 roadmap, BNP Paribas HR is set to improve both its efficiency and effectiveness while significantly enhancing its service offer. The team will offer sophisticated visualizations and predictive models, featuring workforce metrics, analytics, trends analysis and recommendations to further support the Business in its decisions and strengthen our employee value proposition.
To deliver upon the ambition, the team is looking for a skilled proactive professional, passionate about People Analytics, providing analytical insights and AI initiatives, with proven experience in data investigation, predictive modeling, a strong knowledge of data storytelling with the ability to design dashboards to tell the story.
The candidate will also perform business analysis and deliver PeopleSoft reporting.
This is a key position requiring both technical knowledge and business acumen and is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal relationship skills are required, as the Sr. Data Analytics Specialist will interact with senior leaders in HR and business leads to shape data-driven solutions, and with the ability to lead data centric projects. This position will provide stimulating opportunities for motivated individuals to contribute to the success of the strategic HR roadmap, as well as the ability to deliver strategic initiatives.
The job position is based in Montreal and is part of a US/Canada team.

THE STRENGTHS AND SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Data Science, People Analytics
7-10 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or similar roles.
Strong applied mathematical, statistical, and analytical skills to design and interpret descriptive and predictive statistics
Experience in data mining, text analytics, data collection strategies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to convey ideas and effective story-telling through data, reports and dashboards.
Client-focused, ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with the respective HR and Business stakeholders;
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience with HRIS Systems (Peoplesoft, Oracle HCM is an asset but not mandatory as training can be provided)
Outstanding operational and organizational skills in addition to detailed oriented work
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Self-starter, proactive in seeking information and approaching business problems with creativity
Able to work well independently and in a team environment
Experience working in a large, complex organization is an advantage
Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Knowledge of French and English is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Proficient with PowerBi, or similar business intelligence and analytics tools.
MS Office tools, including Copilot
Experience with data sources and reporting tools; HCM PeopleSoft, PeopleSoft Queries
Coding knowledge and experience in several languages: for example, R, Python, Java, MS Excel/VBA, , etc.
Experience with database programming languages including SQL
Knowledge of Business Objects
Experience in one or more of the ETL platforms such as KNIME, Alteryx
