Our Data Architects work within the consultancy team in technical delivery, technologies and concepts in areas such as Data Storage, Data Ingestion, Data Integration, Data Warehousing, Data Preparation and Cloud Infrastructure.    The main purpose of the Data Architect role is to create a robust and scalable data architecture in a cloud environment that supports Dufrain clients data-driven goals, ensures data security and compliance, optimizes costs, and enables efficient data processing and analysis.    To be a suitable candidate for this Data Architect role you will have the experience to:  * Demonstrate deep expertise in enterprise-level data analytics solutions end-to-end, with a focus on Lakehouse Architecture and ML/AI-driven analytics. * Apply domain knowledge to recommend best practices and innovative architectures for modern data platforms. * Develop good working relationships with clients on a project. This includes presenting deliverables and proof of concept demonstrations with confidence. * Inform a client's data strategy, encourage adoption of best practices. Our architects must have the ability to challenge clients and colleagues around delivery approach or content of deliverables. * Gather requirements from stakeholders with a range of technical backgrounds. * Have accountability for the delivery of solutions that delight our clients. * Deliver to agreed plans and timelines, ensuring high standards of architecture, performance, and security. * Contribute to the Architecture Practise to develop standard architecture patterns and resources. TECHNICAL SKILLS   * Several years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or a related field.  * Proficient with data modelling 3NF/Kimball. * Excellent understanding and experience of implementing Modern Data Warehouse architectures. * Experience with back-end Azure Data Engineer technologies like ADF, Azure SQL Database and Synapse. * Proficient in designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions using Microsoft Fabric. * Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, SQL, Cosmos DB and Kusto Query Language (KQL). * Solid experience of data pipeline development using both cloud and on-premises data sources. * Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. * Strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies.   Desirable experience:    * Consulting experience. * Data governance principles including Microsoft Purview * Azure Infrastructure and Networking experience * Microsoft Fabric solution design and implementation * Databricks experience * Machine Learning and AI * Python data engineering experience. * DevOps experience * Power BI semantic modelling   Nice to have certifications   * Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate  * DP-203 Azure Data Engineering * AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect * Understand the offerings and capabilities of cloud platforms to choose the most suitable tools for data storage, processing, and analysis.  * Presenting and explaining architectural decisions to different level stakeholders. * Engaging at all levels of the customer’s business, from working with senior/C-level leadership to guiding IT-specialists and developers on building and implementing solutions  * Designing and implementing cloud-native systems and/or rebuilding an existing system on the cloud  * Lead architectural engagements, either directly or as part of a larger programme of work and take ownership for the successful delivery of customer value within budget, time and scope  * Concisely and articulately present to both technical and non-technical audiences  * Utilise their solid understanding of key processes in the engineering delivery cycle  * Contribute to RFI/RFP requests and design & deliver innovative Proof of Concepts for customers  You can expect guaranteed investment to your personal development.
