Now, we’re expanding our data ecosystem even further, strengthening our engineering capabilities, and looking for a Senior Data Architect to help us build data products that scale across the region. About the Role We are looking for a Senior Data Architect who will shape the foundations of our data products and platforms. You’ll contribute across the entire data lifecycle – from conceptual architecture to hands‑on model design – ensuring our Data Squads deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions. This role combines architecture, technical leadership, and coaching: you’ll design data structures, guide transformation logic, review code, ensure data quality, and support our transition to modern cloud‑based technologies like Synapse, Databricks, and Delta Lake. Main Responsibilities Design and maintain robust, scalable data architectures Build and optimize high‑performance data models for analytics Partner with business and engineering teams to shape data solutions end‑to‑end Lead data integration, transformation, and migration efforts Ensure data quality, consistency, governance, and security across systems Design efficient data pipelines and workflows for large datasets Continuously improve our cloud data tech stack (Synapse, Databricks, ADLS, ADF) Coach and guide Data Engineers and BI Developers on best practices Support adoption of Databricks for advanced analytics and processing Troubleshoot complex data issues and performance bottlenecks Define code‑quality frameworks and architecture KPIs About Your Experience and Skills Education Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar Experience Deep experience designing and delivering scalable ETL/ELT processes Strong background in cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse, Databricks, ADLS) Hands‑on experience with data integration, modelling, migration, and performance tuning Experience with requirements gathering, solution design, and business analysis Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps Ability to mentor developers and collaborate across functions and teams Professional and Technical Competencies Advanced SQL (optimization, tuning, complex queries) Strong ETL knowledge (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar tools) Data modeling techniques (dimensional, star schema, snowflake) Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, Databricks Knowledge of NoSQL systems (MongoDB, Cassandra) Scripting skills in Python and/or PowerShell Experience with Power BI, Tableau, OBIEE or similar Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud data services Understanding of data governance and quality frameworks Experience with architecture modeling tools (e.g., Sparx EA) Comfortable with Jira and Confluence Soft Skills Analytical, curious, and always eager to improve what’s already good Able to drive consensus among technical and non‑technical stakeholders Clear communicator who can turn complex data topics into understandable insights Highly organized and reliable – you bring structure even when things get messy Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Strong sense of ownership and team mindset Growth‑minded, proactive, and open to learning Comfortable collaborating across cultures and countries What We Offer Modern cloud‑based tech stack to work with Collaboration with talented teams across the CEE region Plenty of room for growth in a fast‑moving digital organization Medicare health insurance, annual bonus, and extensive benefits Cross‑industry exposure within MOL Group’s expanding portfolio Regular team events and MOL family experiences How to apply?
