Responsibilities

In this exciting new career opportunity, you’ll play a pivotal, hands-on role in executing our data strategy. You’ll be responsible for building, optimising, and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines and data products on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring high-quality, reliable data is available for analysis and business consumption.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines
  • Build and maintain data models within BigQuery, implementing Medallion Architecture layers
  • Translate data requirements into actionable LookML models and develop Looker dashboards and reports
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the data platform by implementing automation scripts and CI/CD best practices for data pipeline deployments
  • Implement data validation, monitoring, and quality checks within pipelines to ensure data integrity and reliability
  • Work closely with the Principal Engineer, other data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists to deliver effective solutions and provide technical support
