We are immediately seeking a (Senior) Data & Cloud Engineer (m/f/d) who, with analytical acumen, technical expertise, and team spirit, will improve data quality, automate processes, and support management with sound analyses and reports.

Your tasks

• You will continuously develop, operate and optimize our data and backend infrastructure based on Azure Synapse Analytics, SQL, ETL/ELT pipelines and APIs.
• You automate repetitive processes along the entire process chain – from data collection and transformation to reporting.
• You are responsible for setting up production and rolling out data-driven applications and automation solutions – from conception to stable operation.
• You will build and continuously develop deployment, release, and monitoring structures for our growing system and data landscape.
• You develop and integrate AI-supported features such as LLM workflows, automations and intelligent data processing into existing system landscapes.
• You will be responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of existing systems and ensure availability, performance and data quality during operation.
• You will work closely with the Finance, E-Commerce, Operations and IT departments, translating data requirements into production-ready solutions.
• You will actively shape our technical architecture and make a significant contribution to building a modern and future-proof data platform.

Your profile

• You have a completed degree in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification – or you can impress us with relevant practical experience.
• You have sound knowledge of Python or another high-level programming language and are proficient in using Git, REST APIs and JSON.
• You have practical experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or similar) – for data infrastructure, workflow automation and backend systems – and know how scalable architectures work in practice.
• You have experience in integrating heterogeneous systems (SaaS, On-Prem, Cloud) – from API connectivity via OAuth2 to data mapping and transformation.
• You use AI coding tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) productively and have experience or a strong interest in meaningfully integrating LLMs and AI agents into business processes.
• You take responsibility for your code and systems – from the first line to productive operation – and understand how technical quality directly contributes to business results.
• You communicate clearly and on equal terms – with developers as well as with non-technical stakeholders.
