Hostaway is seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our team and drive our growth in the market.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong track record of designing and implementing scalable data solutions.
  • Expert-level SQL skills, with the ability to write, optimize, and debug complex queries.
  • Extensive experience with dbt and the best-practices for building, structuring, and testing code-first transformations using Python
  • Strong experience with operating in a git-first environment and automating workflows using CI/CD pipelines
  • Proven experience building and maintaining production-grade DAG-based pipelines orchestration like Airflow or Dagster
  • In-depth knowledge of building ETL and ELT pipelines using Fivetran
  • Strong experience with streaming data architectures and (near) real-time data processing, using the Google Cloud data ecosystem
  • Deep understanding of Google BigQuery services for big data
Responsibilities
  • Architect, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT/ETL processes using modern DAG orchestration tools
  • Building out and establishing our data transformation framework using dbt
  • Ensuring a central data repository exists for consumption from our different analytics teams
  • Be a proactive, communicative, and trustworthy partner to both analytics and engineering stakeholders
  • Establish and enforce data governance standards to maintain high-quality, trustworthy data assets and ensure reporting consistency.
  • Ability to independently design and deploy cloud infrastructure required for the Data domain
