Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer for our client to join their Data & Analytics function and help design, build, and evolve a scalable analytics platform. You will shape how data is collected, managed, transformed, and visualized—working closely with both engineering and analytics stakeholders. This role suits someone who is deeply technical, pragmatic in tool choices, and comfortable bridging data engineering and software engineering. Responsibilities Design and implement a robust analytics platform and data pipelines Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT workflows Enable high-quality data visualization and analytics use cases Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and product stakeholders Drive technical decisions while remaining tooling agnostic Take ownership and work independently from idea to delivery Requirements (Must-have) Strong proficiency in Python Solid experience with PostgreSQL (or similar relational databases) Extensive experience in data engineering and analytics platforms Deep understanding of data visualization needs and best practices Proven ability to combine data expertise with software engineering skills Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT architectures Experience working with data lakes Familiarity with modern data platforms/frameworks such as: Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Beam, Flink, Spark (or similar) 10+ years of relevant professional experience Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership Nice-to-have Experience with vehicle data and/or IoT data Knowledge of AWS Experience with Kafka or event-driven data architectures Other information Start: ASAP End date: 2026-10-31 Location: Gothenburg - Hybrid Security requirement: A Level 2 background check must be completed before start, including: Employment, References, Identity, Citizenship, Education, Trade sanction, Criminal Application instructions CV (including number of years of relevant experience) Quote / rate and availability (start date)
