SENIOR DATA ENGINEER/ARCHITECT

EpochGeo is looking for a Senior Data Engineer/Architect to support one of the most innovative, exciting and growing offices in the national security space.
Please Note this position is contingent upon successful award of contract
Job Overview:
In this role, you will provide data engineering and architecture support to the customer’s data management platform, including cloud services that are shared with the greater community. You will develop, maintain, and enhance the current system architecture and implement new tools that support the customer’s initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years experience and a Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of data engineer/architect role responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
  • Current security certification (Security+, CISSP).
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Knowledgeable in architectural styles and application programming interfaces (APIs), including REST and RPC.
  • Experience with the GOLang programming language is highly desirable.
  • Familiar with cloud-based solutions.
  • Preferred experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) relational database services (RDS, Aurora).
  • Proficient in architectural styles and application programming interfaces (APIs) such as REST and RPC.
  • Understanding of software development and interface applications
Responsibilities
  • Managing and supporting the CCJ2 Lakehouse Data Management platform, along with its related cloud services and applications.
  • Enhancing the AI/ML Test & Integration compute space in the customer’s Cloud Computing Services (TC2S) environment.
  • Integrating new tools and software enhancements for use within the system platforms and cloud environment.
  • Working in a dynamic environment with ever evolving requirements.
  • Improving processes to enable the customer to utilize other tools within the intelligence community.
  • Assisting in the development of domain-specific UIs that allow operational teams to store data in the Lakehouse platform while efficiently tagging and labeling data according to new DOD and Intelligence Community (IC) standards.
  • Collaborating with the CCJ2 Partner Engagement community to automate the tagging and storage of historical data, while also developing cloud-based applications on the Lakehouse platform to modernize ongoing operations.
  • Providing data science expertise for the design, testing, and development of AI/ML processing models to analyze USCENTCOM data.
  • Conducting statistical analysis to predict and verify the accuracy of processing models.
  • Evaluating new modeling tools and techniques as they become available.
  • Supporting the implementation, security accreditation, and management of systems deployed by USCENTCOM J2 within the UC2S, SC2S, or TC2S cloud environments.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining SQL database systems to support AI/ML Branch requirements.
