A 12-month fixed-term opportunity is now available for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join out Data and Analytics team. The Senior Data Engineer will deliver value by designing and building scalable data pipelines and fit-for-purpose data models on Microsoft Azure and Snowflake, enabling a modern enterprise data platform. You’ll define solution designs and contribute to enterprise data architecture principles, guidelines and best practices, while partnering with teams to understand requirements and recommend solutions aligned to architecture and security standards. Typical deliverables include Azure Data Factory pipelines, ETL pipelines in Snowflake, Azure data platform support, data flow diagrams and solution designs. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant computer science, applied Mathematics, physics, statistics or area of study related to computer engineering, data science etc. Microsoft Azure data platform and devOps technical skills. Extensive knowledge of SQL, database design, integration design, advance analytics platforming, and architecture governance. Strong experience with cloud-based data warehousing, data architecture and data lake concepts and data visualisation platforms (Power BI, Tableau) Strong experience in managing data pipelines (batch, micro batch, and streaming), ETL framework, exception handling, audit framework along with monitoring and alerting solutions. Experience with delivering on cloud environments Microsoft Azure certifications and or Snowflake Pro certifications desirable How will you support our “Why?” Develop, enhance, and maintain existing ETL pipelines. Monitor, improve and remediate any issue with both azure data factory and snowflake data pipelines. Manage, maintain and enhance enterprise data platform. Define and provide best practices, set the architectural standards, and design guidelines. Evaluate and plan of data implementation requirements and solution designs. Ensure all key stakeholders and key data domains are appropriately represented in the solution design and build process. Create documentations on DWH structure and data pipelines. Actively improve processes within the Data Analytics platform and follow data engineering best practices. Interface and collaborate with and support agile teams, vendors, Business stakeholders to ensure clarity of data requirements and appropriateness of design and solution. Work closely with Data governance team to align with data governance framework. Solve problems and think like a leader, work independently and as part of a team.
