Description

Design and implementation of modern data architectures (e.g. Medallion Architecture , Data Lakehouse )
Development and optimization of data pipelines (batch & streaming) with Kafka , Spark/Databricks and cloud services such as Azure Data Factory
Use and integration of central Databricks components such as Unity Catalog or AI/BI Genie
Ensuring data and AI governance , security , and compliance in cloud architectures
Support in setting up and presenting customer demos , as well as collaboration on presales topics.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams in agile projects (Scrum/Kanban)
Responsibility for DevOps processes , CI/CD pipelines and automation with Terraform and other infrastructure tools
Close collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders to translate technical solutions into the business context

qualification

Studies in (business) informatics, mathematics, physics, statistics or a comparable field.
Several years of experience in developing data engineering solutions with Databricks, Apache Spark, SQL and cloud platforms .
Know-how in big data architectures (data lakes, delta lakes, DWH, ETL/ELT, streaming technologies).
Experience with programming & automation (Python, Scala, SQL, Terraform, CI/CD).
Excellent language skills in German and English.
Nice-to-have: Knowledge of MLOps, DBT or Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
Willingness to travel within the DACH region.
Fluent German and English skills (C1).
Salary range for this position (senior level): €72,000 – €92,000 gross per year. Final classification depends on experience and skillset.
