Job Description We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Energy Data Science team. You will work at the intersection of data engineering and data science, enabling our forecasting and analytics products for the energy market. This role is ideal for a software engineer with a big data focus or a data scientist with strong professional data engineering experience. Collaborate closely with Data Scientists and MLOps Engineers to build forecasting and analytics products for the energy market. Design, implement, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow, Python, and SQL, with robust observability and alerting. Build and maintain integrations for internal and external data sources. Explore, clean, structure, and aggregate datasets for high-quality downstream use cases (Analytics/ML). Administer databases and data warehouses, managing changes through CI/CD. Maintain and extend APIs to ensure reliable and performant data delivery. Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. Continuously improve the data architecture, adopt new technologies, and stay aligned with the latest industry trends. Qualifications 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering (including real-time data processing). Expertise in Python and SQL. Hands-on experience with Airflow, Snowflake, and database/DWH administration. Solid knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure (preferably Azure; GCP or AWS also acceptable) and IaC (Terraform or similar). Basic DevOps skills, including CI/CD setup in Azure DevOps. Holistic mindset on data products: motivated to deliver clean, structured, and scalable data pipelines for analytics and ML.
