We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on data, machine learning, and web application solutions. You will play a critical role in the architecture, design, and deployment of cloud-based solutions and work closely with our Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Web Development teams to ensure their solutions are deployed securely, stably, and efficiently to Azure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure services tailored to these workloads and a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security. A background in software engineering and confident communication across all hierarchy levels are highly desirable.

Job Description

• Cloud Architecture and Design: Design and implement Azure services tailored for data, machine learning, and web applications, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Microsoft Fabric, Azure Kubernetes, Azure Machine Learning, and other Azure services. You will review and support the selection of appropriate services with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency, ensuring alignment with Bosch’s infrastructure standards.
• Collaboration with Data Engineers and Data Scientists: Work closely with Chapter Leads for Data Engineers, Data Scientists to ensure technically sound, well-rounded Azure data and machine learning solutions that meet the business’s evolving needs.
• Collaboration with Web Development Teams: Collaborate closely with our web development teams (Frontend: Angular, React; Backend: .NET, NodeJS) to design and deploy secure, scalable, and efficient cloud architectures in Azure. Provide guidance in designing architectures and deploying web solutions to Azure, ensuring performance optimization, secure deployments, and fast release cycles.
• Mastering Azure at Bosch and xBI: Become deeply familiar with the Azure ecosystem as it applies to Bosch’s infrastructure. Focus on aligning Azure services with Bosch’s needs and optimizing xBI’s product development within Bosch’s complex ecosystem. Configure and manage private network connections for Azure cloud services, ensuring secure, reliable communication.
• CI/CD Pipeline Framework: Build and maintain a structured, secure CI/CD pipeline framework based on Azure DevOps and potentially GitHub Actions, ensuring streamlined and secure deployment processes for web and data solutions.
• Cost and Performance Optimization: Proactively review and optimize the selection of Azure services to balance performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Provide expertise in maximizing resource efficiency and minimizing cloud costs, tailored to project requirements and business goals.
• Operational Monitoring and Support: Monitor Azure services post-deployment, ensuring stability, security, and performance. Troubleshoot issues as they arise, working closely with the development and operations teams to resolve cloud infrastructure challenges in production environments.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Extensive experience with Azure cloud services, particularly in architecting and deploying data pipelines, machine learning models, and web application solutions.
• Proven experience in CI/CD pipeline management, using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and automation tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM/Terraform templates.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform) and automation for cloud service management.
• Strong knowledge of Azure cloud networking and private network management, ensuring secure and reliable communication between services.
• Expertise in managing Azure Identity and Access Management (IAM) for data and web solutions, including assigning roles, managing policies, and ensuring security compliance.
• Background in software engineering is highly desirable, with Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect) considered a strong asset.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and confidently convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executives across all hierarchy levels.
