JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and cloud-based data solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making and enable advanced analytics.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10-12 years of experience in data engineering
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data services
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
  • Experience with SQL and database technologies
  • Knowledge of data modeling and architecture principles
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Cloud Composer)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
    Job Type: Contract
    Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week
    Work Location: Hybrid remote in Nashville, TN 3720
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement robust, scalable data pipelines using GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, etc.)
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes to integrate data from various sources
  • Build and maintain data warehousing solutions for large-scale datasets
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data processes
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives
  • Implement best practices for data governance, documentation, and metadata management
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance issues
