Senior Data Engineer

The Cyber Platforms team is responsible for providing centralised platforms which enables Cyber Engineers to develop and deploy services to the wider technology group.
This is an initial 9-month contract with possibility of extension.

What role will you play?
In this role, you will be working on analysing, designing, supporting and executing multiple work-streams in consultation with key stakeholders and business leads.
In accordance with all applicable policies and guidelines, you will design and maintain data pipelines and ensure data quality and accessibility for Engineers and Analysts.

What you offer

• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Go
• Ability to build RESTful APIs in Python and experience in Flask
• Expertise in SQL and knowledge of other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, MS SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Cassandra)
• Experience with big data tools (such as Spark and Kafka) and data pipeline and workflow management tools
• Strong understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
