THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing the company’s data systems and architecture.
You will contribute to the development and implementation of data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data into Manulife’s data warehouse and utilize your expertise in building pipelines using, Python, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, SQL server, and Azure functions to enhance the data ecosystem.
Primary Location: CAN, Ontario, Toronto, 200 Bloor Street East
Hybrid 3 days: (Tues. Wed. Thur.)
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement Python data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data into Manulife’s data warehouse.
- Lead the development of data integration solutions, including API integrations and data feeds, while ensuring alignment to data governance policies and processes.
- Collaborate with other data professionals, including data scientists, analysts, and business team members, to understand data requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest tools and technologies and see opportunities to enhance Manulife’s data infrastructure.
- Ensure that team members are meeting project timelines and delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of the business.
