As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimizing high-performance data pipelines and platforms. You will collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions. This role emphasizes reliability, efficiency, and performance, while also providing opportunities to mentor teammates and shape technical standards. Accountabilities Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability. Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into production-ready data solutions. Establish and evangelize technical best practices for coding, data modeling, monitoring, and CI/CD workflows. Conduct architectural and code reviews, mentoring team members and sharing knowledge across the team. Perform performance-tuning initiatives using tools such as Spark UI, cluster configuration, and shuffle reduction. Evaluate and integrate new capabilities in Databricks and AWS to improve platform efficiency. Produce high-quality documentation, architecture diagrams, and internal training materials. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a related technical discipline. 6+ years of experience in data engineering or related technical roles, with hands-on experience in Spark, SQL, and large-scale data processing. Expertise with Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred). Proven track record of building robust data pipelines, implementing technical standards, and solving complex data challenges. Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team growth. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a global, fast-paced environment.
