This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer in Latin America. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and cloud-based architectures that enable advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate multiple data sources, ensure data quality, and optimize performance at scale. You will engage directly with stakeholders to translate business requirements into production-ready solutions while driving best practices in cloud data engineering, workflow orchestration, and system documentation. Accountabilities Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end data solutions, ensuring performance, scalability, security, and reliability. Integrate multiple data sources, including relational databases, streaming platforms, and cloud storage systems. Develop and optimize SQL queries and programmatic pipelines to support analytics and reporting. Collaborate with software engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Create detailed technical documentation, including POCs, system diagrams, and architecture roadmaps. Participate in the full software development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Support workflow management and orchestration using tools such as Airflow, Luigi, or equivalent platforms. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or Data Analyst. Strong programming skills in Python, Java, and/or Scala. Proficiency with cloud platforms, including Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, and Databricks. Advanced SQL skills, including writing, debugging, and optimizing complex queries. Experience with data integration and transformation technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Streamsets, Matillion, Fivetran, NiFi, or dbt. Knowledge of distributed data storage systems (S3, ADLS, HDFS, GCS, Kudu, NoSQL databases). Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow, AWS Managed Airflow, Luigi, or NiFi. Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) for client-facing interactions and presentations. Preferred experience with multiple data sources, automated pipelines, and production-ready cloud data platforms. Fully remote work environment across Latin America.
