We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join a dynamic team developing next-generation B2B SaaS solutions for the financial services industry. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable, reliable data pipelines while supporting advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to deliver high-quality datasets and optimized data workflows. Accountabilities Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines including ingestion, storage, validation, governance, monitoring, and ELT patterns. Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes for large volumes of data, ensuring clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to prepare datasets for analytics and ML applications. Identify opportunities to optimize pipeline operations, reduce manual work, and enhance performance. Conduct code reviews and promote data engineering best practices across the team. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously improving tools and workflows. Participate in Agile ceremonies and support a culture of high standards and continuous learning. Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related fields. Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL. Strong experience with Spark, distributed computing, and performance optimization. Familiarity with Databricks (Unity Catalog, Feature Store, Delta Live Tables) preferred. Experience with data pipeline and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Databricks, Glue). Solid understanding of ETL/ELT best practices, monitoring, observability, and data validation. Experience with big data, scaling data processing, and distributed computing environments. Strong analytical skills and ability to transform raw data into structured, high-quality datasets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
