SUMMARY

Contract position supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), contingent on award. The Senior Data Scientist shall conduct quantitative analysis using operations research tools, economics, and other quantitative techniques in the areas of procedural implementations and performance issues. Assists in creating analysis procedures. Assists in the definition of machine learning and data mining strategies. Assists in creating, deploying, maintaining and refining decision management models. Data Scientists specialize in modeling and simulation functions or operations such as, but not limited to exercises, plans, coordination, demonstrations, and instruction in the fields such as, but not limited to health, environmental, transportation, law enforcement, and security for military and civilian agencies.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Must have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, the sciences or related field of study and at least eight (8) years specialized experience; or ten (10) years general experience and three (3) years specialized experience. General experience is experience gained in an office setting. Specialized experience must include a combination of office and field experience in performing modeling and conducting analysis in a law enforcement environment.

Pay: $123,546.17 - $148,786.78 per year
