Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data-processing solutions
Develop and optimize data architectures for batch and real-time processing
Integrate data from various sources
Ensure data quality, security, governance, and compliance
Improve the performance, reliability, and transparency of data platforms
Collaborate with IT product teams, data analysts, and business departments
Establish and promote best practices in data engineering, testing, documentation, and version control
Evaluate new technologies and help shape the future data platform

Several years of professional experience in data engineering or a related field
Strong programming skills in Python or PySpark
Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines
Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Practical experience with data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouse architectures
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure
Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow , Azure Data Factory , or similar is an advantage
Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, automated testing
Understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data security
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international team
Fluent in German and English
