JOB PURPOSE:

Our Senior Data Engineering Analyst partners with Developers, Architects, and business stakeholders to turn raw data into decision-ready information using new data sources, mapping them into our environment, and validating that every data pipeline provides clean, complete, and trusted data.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the primary liaison connecting Data Engineering, business stakeholders, and Analytics & AI groups.
  • Turn M&A goals and daily requests into crisp user stories, acceptance criteria, and transformation specs.
  • Create process maps and star-schema/SCD designs that fit our cloud stack.
  • Use strong SQL and Python skills to surface anomalies and land clean data.
  • Partner with Architects and Developers to design storage, format, and delivery on Redshift, Synapse/Fabric.
  • Build reusable test scripts validating record counts, KPIs, and lineage; own business sign-off before production.
  • Maintain data dictionaries, KPI definitions, and Power BI datasets that power self-service analytics.
  • Enforce reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement across pipelines.
  • Employ NoSQL (Cosmos DB, DynamoDB) and other fit-for-purpose stores to meet data pipeline, AI/RAG and analytics needs.
  • Manage scope, training materials, and change communications so every stakeholder stays aligned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Curious “data detective” mindset — keen to dive into schemas, spot anomalies, and trace lineage end-to-end.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate technical findings into clear business language.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, governance standards, and documentation quality.
  • Collaborative and customer-oriented, thriving in cross-functional teams and willing to interface directly with business stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-moving, M&A-driven environment.
  • Resilient under pressure; maintains professionalism while troubleshooting and navigating changing requirements.
  • Assignment on cross functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently, successfully manage accounts, work under pressure, and adapt to changes in the work environment is essential.
  • Scripting Language Skills (Python, Perl)
