As a Senior Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the charge in building the roadmap of the future guiding a team that creates, manages, and optimises the data platforms powering our business. We use a broad range of innovative tools and services to enable the data processing and access requirements of the group with a key goal of enabling the utilisation of GenAI and other advanced data techniques across the business. People management experience with previous experience in playing leadership roles within data engineering chapter and a background of engineering experience Full cycle engineers having familiarity with object-oriented languages and databases Prior experience of working with Data Lakes, warehouses and data processing tools, having done large scale Data migrations before. Streaming services like Kafka and having built data products before. Expertise in leading and driving team of platform engineers utilising AWS services (EMR, Redshift, Glue, Athena among others) highly desirable Promote DevSecOps mindset within your chapter supported by world-class tools Experience working in an agile environment and in the use of work tracking tools such as JIRA Experience implementing large scale self-service enterprise data platforms highly desirable Working with us Whether you’re passionate about customer service, driven by data, or called by creativity, a career with CommBank is for you.
