Senior Data Engineer | Bristol (Hybrid) | £50,000 - £55,000

A growing Bristol-based organisation is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to play a key role in the development and evolution of its data platform.

This opportunity is well suited to an experienced engineer who combines strong hands-on technical skills with the ability to think strategically about architecture, scalability, governance, and engineering best practice.

Key Responsibilities✅ Design, build, and maintain scalable end-to-end data pipelines✅ Develop production-grade solutions using Python and SQL✅ Work with modern data technologies including Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow/Dagster✅ Influence data platform architecture and technical decision-making✅ Drive best practices across CI/CD, automated testing, data quality, and observability✅ Mentor engineers and help raise technical standards across the team

Key Requirements✔ Strong commercial experience with Python and SQL✔ Proven experience delivering cloud-based data solutions ideally in AWS will consider Azure or GCP✔ Experience with modern data stack technologies and orchestration tools✔ Strong understanding of data modelling, governance, security, and platform design✔ Ability to balance hands-on engineering with architectural thinking and technical leadership
