ABOUT THE ROLE

Working across varied projects and customers your role will continuously adapt. As a Senior Data Manager you will work independently or in smaller teams on our clients premises to help them manage and make sense of their data. These are some of the tasks you’ll encounter:

  • Handle our customers’ data in a way that meets security requirements and GDPR
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of various industry-related data
  • Implement procedures to protect data integrity and availability
  • Combine different data sources for comprehensive analysis and modeling
  • Analyze data to support decision-making and present data insights through reports and visualizations
  • Coordinate with colleagues and other departments to align data-related activities
  • Educate client and colleagues on data management practices and tools

We expect you have a relevant masters’ degree and at five years of relevant experience within geoscience, petroleum science, data science, or data and information management within the energy sector. Relevant expertise and experience include:

  • Organizing and handling of data, including seismic, subsurface, well, and production data
  • Formatting, quality control, and efficient data loading
  • Document management, procedures and documentation
  • Familiarity with industry tools like Petrel, OpenWorks, ArcGIS,Techlog, etc.
  • Utilizing data sources such as Diskos and others
  • Cross-functional collaboration and client-facing consulting
  • Fluency in Norwegian is an advantag
