JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled lead Data Ops Engineer with expertise in Data Ops or Data Engineering, SQL, system automation, and Python to join our team. Responsibilities include designing the proper data architecture, implementing automation, and be the mentor and leader for the Data & Analytics team. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Technical Expertise
• 5+ years of experience in Data Ops or Data Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in writing highly complex SQL code, preferably in a legacy system such as Oracle or SQLServer, as well as Snowflake.
• Intermediate expertise in Git and the integration of version control in a development lifecycle process.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge in data pipeline development.
• Proficient in writing clean, robust Python code using coding best practices.
• Experience with prompt engineering, especially using GitHub Copilot to co-author SQL queries and Python code.
• Bonus: SnowPro Certification (or more advanced)

LEADERSHIP SKILLS:

• Excellent communication skills for discussing complex technical issues with engineers and translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to decompose complex technical challenges and produce pragmatic solutions.
• Ability to adapt and balance delivery, attention to detail with constraints and pragmatism.
