Ko mātou tēnei | This is Us The Senior Data Ops Engineer will be responsible for driving the modernisation and automation of existing web applications, developing and supporting automated data pipelines and connecting a variety of data analytics platforms. This role will have a strong focus on fostering collaboration between the software and IT operation teams. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role The successful candidate will be expected to: Perform hands on automation tasks to treat infrastructure as code. Provide execution of activities related to infrastructure, upgrades and patching, security, continuous integration, continuous deployment, IT operations and metrics Build and develop moderate volume/complexity data pipelines into a production environment. Interactively analyse and manipulates data using a variety of data analysis and data mining assets that would support this evaluation. What attributes will this person display to be successful in this role? We are looking for someone with a minimum of 7 years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer/ Data Engineer including some of: Proven experience with build and development tools and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with automating manual processes. Experience with variety of programming and scripting languages (.Net, Java, SQL) SQL on Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) relational databases (Snowflake) Experience working in DevOps and Agile environments, as well as continuous integration tools.
