We value potential and growth just as much as experience. Why this role exists… One of our FMCG clients has been a long-standing partner for Snap Analytics. We’ve successfully delivered a major data platform migration and continue to support them with enhancements and analytics solutions. However, as the account evolves, we need a dedicated Account Lead to ensure delivery excellence, mentor the team, and unlock new opportunities. Until now, oversight has been split between senior leaders, but the lack of a full-time owner has limited our ability to maximise value for this client. This role will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring projects run smoothly while shaping the next phase of growth, including advanced analytics and AI What you'll be doing... You’ll be the go-to person for this account, managing and contributing to project delivery and building strong client relationships. You’ll work closely with Snap’s team and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes and identify new opportunities. Your responsibilities will include: Leading day-to-day technical delivery across this account, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to scope Managing and mentoring the delivery team, providing guidance and structure Driving enhancements to the existing data platform and supporting new analytics initiatives Collaborating with the client to define future work and explore opportunities for AI and advanced analytics Acting as the commercial point of contact for renewals and expansions In your first 3–6 months, success might look like: Building strong relationships with client stakeholders and Snap’s South Africa team Successfully lead the project team to ensure successful delivery for the client meeting time, cost and quality standards Identifying and shaping new opportunities within the client account to drive growth while showcasing thought leadership and strategic insight What you'll need to succeed... What you’ll need to succeed… We’re looking for someone who combines technical delivery expertise with strong leadership and client management skills. You might be a great fit if you have: Proven experience delivering cloud data warehousing and analytics projects, ideally within Snowflake and Matillion Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modelling The ability to lead teams and mentor junior consultants Commercial awareness and experience managing client relationships A consulting background and familiarity with FMCG environments This role might not be the right fit if you’re looking for: A purely strategic role: this position is hands-on, with around 70% focused on delivery and 30% on account leadership Minimal involvement in technical work: you’ll need to be comfortable with design, QA, and guiding technical solutions
