JOB DESCRIPTION Key Responsibilities: Works with clients to define and manage the scope, strategy, requirements and implementation of projects. Ensures that assigned projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting client business objectives. Identifies, analyzes, mitigates, documents, and controls project risks. Provides effective and regular communication within the project team, stakeholders, sponsors and management. Identifies resourcing needs for the project and establishes roles, expectations, and goals with team members. Participates in negotiation of contract terms and conditions and ensures compliance with contract terms for project consultants and vendors. Identifies project issues that impact project delivery and escalate to management. Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed. Manages multiple small and/or medium-sized projects ensuring project deliverables are brought in on time, within budget and quality targets. Assists in hiring project staff, and developing, motivating, coaching, advising and managing the project team. Manages the technical components of the project or acts as the manager of personnel, including evaluating personnel. Liaises between project team, project sponsor, and client group. Establishes and maintains relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes. Job Requirements: Ability to think strategically, assess alternatives for short-and long-term impacts and act decisively Experience working with project planning and tracking tools Ability to effectively apply project management methodologies and ensure that the necessary technical skills are included with the project team and utilized appropriately Some knowledge of technology platforms and environments Good understanding of annuity products, administration compliance, operations and systems including business desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Office), and relevant financial products Experience using a defined project management and/or SDLC methodology Understanding of Managed Service Provider ticketing and Alert Management Systems Decision Authority: Provides professional advice – takes a lead role of process or program execution Is accountable for own work and contributes to setting standards through expertise in own job discipline that impact others’ deliverables Work is guided by cascaded policies or business plans May lead medium to large size projects or work streams with moderate resource requirements, risk and/or complexity with multiple teams representing different interests Skills: Project Management KPI Tracking Budgeting Technical Documentation Coaching Stakeholder Management When you join our team: We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.
