We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Senior Data Science Engineer with a strong interest in AI/ML and advanced analytics to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing and applying data science techniques to solve complex customer problems. This role will involve hands-on experience in machine learning, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision-making to help shape the data strategy and drive insights from large, diverse datasets. This position will be onsite in Tysons Corner, VA and requires an active TS/SCI Poly security clearance.

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

• 3+ years of experience in data science, including problem-solving with machine learning and scalable methods (MapReduce, streaming).
• Experience in applied machine learning (regression, classification, supervised/unsupervised learning) and time-series data analysis.
• Software development skills in Python and JavaScript, with experience using Git or other version control systems.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Collaborate with data and subject matter experts and customer teams to seek, understand, validate, interpret, and correctly use data and business insights
• Train, validate and deploy machine learning pipelines
• Test, troubleshoot, and enhance customer software applications with and on behalf of customers
• Identify application performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations
• Write application specifications, tutorials and documentation
