This role focuses on developing and deploying advanced analytical models, conducting experimentation, and uncovering actionable insights from complex datasets. This role emphasizes data science and AI, focusing on developing, validating, and deploying models to solve complex business problems. A strong foundation in working with data is important, but the primary focus is on analytical rigor, experimentation, and delivering actionable insights. Your Moneris Career - What you'll do Develop and deploy robust machine learning models using Scikit-learn and XGBoost to solve complex business problems, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with strategic goals. Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to extract insights, forecast outcomes, and support decision-making across the organization, leveraging tools like Prophet and Statsforecast for time series forecasting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold best practices in code quality, documentation, testing, and reproducibility. Explore and implement cutting-edge AI approaches, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and multimodal Large Language Models (LLMs), to address emerging challenges. Work with platform such as Databricks and Snowflake, utilizing Python, PySpark and SQL to conduct advanced data analysis and support model development and deployment. Continuously evaluate new methodologies and technologies to enhance modeling capabilities and stay ahead of industry trends. Partner with developers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to embed insights into enterprise workflows and drive data-informed decisions. Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to understand the data, uncover patterns, and identify opportunities for innovation. Rapidly learn new tools, techniques, and business domains to adapt to evolving priorities and deliver high-impact solutions. Your Moneris Career - What you bring Bachelor's degree required (master's an asset) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent work experience in a Technology or business environment. Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics roles. Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with demonstrated experience in building and deploying models in production environments. Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Databricks for data exploration, feature engineering, and model deployment. Proficient in multiple programming languages and comfortable writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working with large, complex datasets to uncover insights and drive decisions. Demonstrated ability to lead data science projects, communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical audiences, and influence business outcomes. Experience with data governance practices and maintaining high standards of documentation for reproducibility and collaboration. Fast learner with a deep curiosity about data, eager to explore new techniques and technologies to improve model performance and business impact. Nice-to-have... Experience in the payments or financial industry. Experience building dashboards and data visualizations in Power BI.
