Description

Piper Companies is seeking a remote Senior Data Team Lead for a leading CRO with cutting-edge digital capabilities. The Senior Data Team Lead will be responsible for leading end-to-end data management for clinical projects, ensuring high-quality, timely, and budget-compliant deliverables while guiding the CDM team to meet customer needs. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities of the Senior Data Team Lead:

  • Independently manage end-to-end delivery of data management services for single or multi-service clinical projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, leading communications, negotiations, and relationship management across global studies.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to data management teams, including training junior staff and supporting Data Team Leads (DTLs).
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and close-out activities, including milestone tracking, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement.
  • Manage service performance and compliance, ensuring deliverables meet contractual and regulatory standards, including GCP and SOPs.
  • Lead financial oversight for data management projects, including budget tracking, scope management, and support for business development activities.

Qualifications for the Senior Data Team Lead:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in data management within clinical research or related fields.
  • At least 7 years of experience serving as an Independent Lead on global studies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale global studies or programs simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated success as the primary customer contact for data management deliverables.
  • Skilled in direct client negotiations involving timelines, budgets, processes, and resources.
  • Experience mentoring and training junior team members in data management best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, clinical research, biological sciences, mathematics, or a related field.
