DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Visualization Developer to join our Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions using tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau. This role requires a combination of technical skills, awareness of data modeling and querying, and an understanding of business needs to effectively create and deliver reports that are accessible, user friendly, and visually appealing. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, transform raw data into meaningful insights, to implement solutions that unlock the power of intelligence-driven decision making to support business goals and outcomes across various organizations and industries.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI and Tableau Desktop, Server, and/or Cloud
  • Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M language), and SQL
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices
  • Experience with data modeling concepts, dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts
  • Knowledge of database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)

ANALYTICAL & BUSINESS SKILLS

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Understanding of statistical concepts and data analysis methodologies
  • Ability to work with large, complex datasets from multiple sources
  • Stay up to date with Power BI and Tableau updates and best practices.

ADVANCED TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

  • Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Desktop Foundations or Certified Tableau Data Analyst certification
  • Knowledge of Python, R, or other statistical programming languages
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and data pipeline development
  • Knowledge of design tools such as Canva or Figma

DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; or work experience of equal value to formal education. Post-graduate degrees and/or certifications are beneficial
  • Experience in specific industry verticals (pharmacy, healthcare, retail, etc.)
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
