Responsibilities Manage SQL Server and Azure cloud databases Configure and maintain database servers and processes. Monitor system's health and performance. Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security. Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time. Provide suggestions for solutions. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes. Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement. Provide support for critical production systems within us time-zone/from Monday to Friday. Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours. Managing Backup strategy. Tuning T-SQL queries to improve performance. At least 6 years of database administration experience in hybrid environments (on-premises data centers and Azure cloud platforms). Expert-level, hands-on experience with SQL Server administration, including implementing and supporting SQL Always On and Distributed Availability Groups. Experience automating routine tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Good experience with Linux operating systems and Windows Server administration Good knowledge in Kubernetes administration and container orchestration Good understanding of networking, storage, and security principles in containerized environments Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO). Experience with backups, restores and recovery models. Experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server and Azure cloud database service. Experience with Windows server, including Active Directory. Team player. Good time-management skills. Great interpersonal and communication skills. Azure Database Administrator Associate certifications is a plus. Azure Data Factory provisioning and administration is a plus.
