Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Database Design and Implementation: Design and implement Oracle databases to meet business requirements.
  • Database Administration: Perform daily database administration tasks, including backups, recovery, and performance monitoring.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance, connectivity, and data integrity.
  • Security: Ensure database security, including access control, authentication, and authorization.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing.
  • Upgrade and Migration: Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database systems.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle database administration.
  • Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification.

Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, design, and administration.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Oracle RMAN, and Oracle Data Guard.
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Work Environment:

  • Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
  • Travel: Need to relocate to Dubai
