We work hybrid with a great home/ office work mix. What will you do? Skai’s Data Enablement team is looking for a Senior DBA to manage and optimize the company’s production databases. This is a key role within our Infrastructure department, responsible for ensuring database reliability, performance and scalability in a Linux-based environment. You will get first hand experience with challenges around data, scale, architecture, creative solutions and high quality deliveries in a wide welcoming team. Besides Databases you will be part of a versatile team, manage Java/Python services, AirFlow and deployment and provisioning automations. Key Responsibilities: Manage, maintain, and optimize MySQL databases in Linux environment Perform performance tuning, cost efficiency, upgrades and troubleshooting for large-scale data systems Ensure high availability, backups, and recovery processes Collaborate closely with infrastructure, DevOps, and data engineering teams to ensure smooth operation in production environments Support production systems (24/7) Requirements 5+ years of experience as a DBA Hands-on experience with MySQL or any other DB in Linux environments Proven experience in performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting Seasoned team player, great communication skills, technical leadership experience (Projects, Initiatives, Mentorship) Advantages: Experience with AWS. Familiarity with DevOps tools and concepts (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, IaC tools (Ansible, Pulumi, Terraform, etc.) Programming or scripting skills (Python or Bash) Working with AI tools
