Description

Designing, developing and monitoring all Oracle & Microsoft SQL Server Database objects and applications to meet the Business requirements Understanding design documents/ Clarifying precisely what actions the application is intended to perform in order to design stable, reliable and effective databases Adapting current applications to new requirements, as necessary/Combining all elements of the application and testing it/ Testing sample data-sets to check that output from the application works as intended Ensure all database programs meet Business requirements and performance requirements Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices Working as part of a team, which may be established purely for a particular project, to write a specific section of the application Analysing and tuning the application performance/ Investigating, analysing and documenting reported defects Creating and tracing test cases and problem scenarios to locate and maintain sources of problems Creating and maintaining technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates Writing detailed operational documentation for the operation of the application by users and operators Consulting manuals, periodicals and technical reports to learn new ways to develop applications programs and maintain existing skills and knowledge QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree required in Computer Science or equivalent (a combination of education and experience will be considered). High level of Arabic and English interpersonal skills and communication skills both written and oral. EXPERIENCE At least 5 years of experience in Oracle & Microsoft SQL Server database development tools SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skills required. Strong understanding of Oracle & Microsoft SQL Server RDBMSs development methodologies and approaches Proven hands-on technical experience with Oracle & Microsoft SQL Server development tools used in the relevant technical area Knowledge of core banking systems applications and other ERP systems Excellent problem-solving skills Learning existing systems and ability to modify them
