Senior Database Developer (Remote)

Emphasys HFA is looking for an innovative, tech-savvy senior database developer to create and maintain data and storage frameworks. The Database Developer position is a development role reporting to the Development Manager of the Emphasys HFA business unit, responsible for Developing, deploying, and maintaining application databases. They will work closely with the Lead Developer to ensure platform and security needs of data and reporting systems are met. In coordination with Product Management the role will assist in establishing, meeting requirements and estimated timelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

• To take ownership of the deliverables assigned, in conjunction with current technologies and provide guidance in design and planning of configuring secured databases and database frameworks.
• Understand the data source layer and get familiar with all the data integration tools, storages and database design.
• At least 5 Years’ experience with Design and Analysis of data architecture.
• Database and Warehousing experience with data visualization tools.
• Experience with cloud technologies and Relational Database Management concepts (Snowflake, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.).

TECHNICAL SKILLSET

• SQL Server

• The Senior Database Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing complex database solutions, optimizing database performance, and ensuring data security and integrity.
• Provide developers with specifications and directions on how to implement new module or system functionality specifically in the areas of optimization of database design, development and maintenance.
• Proficiency in SQL and database management systems such as MySQL, and SQL Server.
• Manage Development, UAT, Production environments and maintaining database documentation.
• Manage installation and deployment of products during implementations and subsequent releases including hosting environment set up and configuration, initial installation, job scheduling, and release package preparation.
• Experience with data modeling and database architecture.
• Portfolio of previous development is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to handle fixed deadlines and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
