REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 8 years applicable related experience.
  • Active Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master, and/or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master certification
  • Experience as a Scrum Master within a software development environment
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira/Confluence
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust; residing in the United States

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Health Care Industry and/or CMS experience
  • Experience on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.)
  • Well versed in a variety of Agile approaches (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)
  • Some knowledge of development environments, platforms, and technologies including Java, general web development and cloud technology
  • Experience with software DevSecOps/DevOps pipeline processes and tools
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently and interact regularly with government and non-government stakeholders at multiple levels of authority
  • Works well as a team member in a fast-paced and often time-sensitive environment

Responsibilities
  • Coaches and mentors, the team on Agile and Scrum principles, values, and practices, driving towards a goal of a continuous improvement mindset and recommends adjustments to established delivery practices.
  • Acts as a servant leader and aids with the resolution of impediments to maintain team momentum
  • Fosters team collaboration, psychological safety, and self-organization to enable high performance.
  • Identifies differences in understanding issues as they occur; works with the team to problem-solve or escalate to management if needed.
  • Facilitates core Scrum ceremonies including Team Syncs, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Retrospectives, and Sprint Reviews; participates in Scrum of Scrums and cross-team coordination meetings
  • Utilizes Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence to collect, analyze, and visualize team metrics; maintains information radiators and tracks velocity, burndown charts, and other KPIs to drive team improvement.
  • Partners with Product Owners to refine backlog items, ensuring stories are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for upcoming sprints and releases and assists in facilitating sprint demos.
  • Helps to ensure that the team has a clear and common understanding of the work that needs to be done, and that the work items reflect this understanding.
