Responsibilities

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

· Take technical ownership for an assigned area within the project.
· Define the S88 software structure and equipment list for the area.
· Develop draft functional design specifications (FDS) for the area.
· Work with system integrators to finalize functional specifications.
· Participate in P&ID and control strategy reviews.
· Collaborate with the Project Technical Lead and System Integrator to deliver the project on schedule and budget.
· Align automation solutions with the overall program automation philosophy and standards.
· Ensure consistency of automation deliverables (requirements, functional specifications, control strategies, phases, and recipes).
· Specify software components that need to be created or modified.
· Provide input, review, and approve functional requirements and specifications.
· Partner with the System Integrator to develop computer system validation deliverables (alarm rationalization, system overview, source code reviews, testing, etc.).
· Secure vendor documents for skidded equipment to integrate with validation deliverables.
· Respond to System Integrator technical queries and identify remediation work for process control software.
· Support implementation of the DeltaV system architecture.
· Track issues in the issue tracker post-software acceptance.
· Identify technical risks specific to the area and plan mitigation steps.
· Maintain compliance with training and GMP requirements.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

· BS in Engineering (or equivalent experience).
· 8+ years’ experience in automation within the pharmaceutical industry (preferably in API/bulk manufacturing).
· Previous experience with large pharmaceutical automation projects/programs.
· 6+ years’ hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS.
· Prior experience in Central Utilities Building automation.
· Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements, and computer system validation principles.
· Excellent teamwork, written, and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
