POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Demand Planner develops monthly demand and supply plans for STERIS service products for our capital equipment globally. In this role you will manage all activities related to consensus forecast review, statistical trend data analysis, and monitoring of consumption in support of fulfilling customer demand. In addition, this position will be accountable for Finished Goods (FG) supply planning (make and buy) working closely with manufacturing and sourcing with regards to rough cut capacity planning and FG sourcing projections. Key performance indicators include forecast accuracy, finished inventory turns and customer service level.
This is a hybrid role with the requirement of working onsite 3 days/week at one of our following facilities: Mentor, OH (USA); Plymouth, MN (USA); Monterrey, Mexico; or Quebec, Canada. Visa sponsorship is not available. Candidates must reside within the country.

Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly demand planning process by collaborating with sales, finance, marketing and IT systems to update demand plans.
  • Analyze monthly statistical forecast and make changes/recommendations for inclusion into the demand plan.
  • Conduct monthly demand consensus and supply planning meetings; resolve demand/supply issues and elevate unresolved issues the appropriate decision maker(s).
  • Communicate results to internal groups including sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
  • Develop monthly build plans for assigned manufacturing facilities as well as monthly requirements for purchased finished goods.
  • Manage (finished goods) inventory levels and associated parameters (e.g., safety stock).
  • Participate in new product implementation with phase-in/phase-out planning that provides a smooth transition and minimizes obsolete material.
  • Key contributor to driving process improvements within the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
