Job Summary
Performing duties that include patient chair and administrative work. Prepare the operating rooms before procedures. After reviewing patient records, help our patients feel comfortable and responsible for taking and developing x-rays. Assist dentist with multiple procedures. Patient interaction may include reviewing dental history, addressing concerns, suggesting treatments, and recommending to patients the importance of follow-up appointments. After an appointment, the EFDA is responsible for restocking supplies, cleaning up and sanitizing the room, and preparing it for the next patient. It is important for expanded functions dental assistants to be familiar with and comply with OSHA, CDC, and HIPPA regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and ordering office supplies and materials.
  • Placing and removing matrices and wedges
  • Placing temp filings
  • Placing and finishing composite resin restorations
  • Taking alginate impressions / Pouring up study models
  • Fabricating temp crowns/bridges
  • Adjusting dentures and other appliances
  • Setup/breakdown of dental operatories using OSHA guidelines
  • Sterilizing instruments
  • Taking radiographs
  • Post and core and buildups
  • Organizing and maintaining lab cases
  • General knowledge of OpenDental (making appointments, adding treatment plans, and charting)

Job Requirements

  • Familiar with all phases of dentistry
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience
  • Must have a state issued EFDA license
  • Must have a state issued radiology license
  • Understand HIPPA compliance and OSHA guidelines

Qualifications
- Must have at least 5 years experience
- Proficiency in 3D scanner and X-Ray technology (Nomad)
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle appointment scheduling efficiently
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and aseptic techniques
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour
