Description
Develop PCS system architecture, network layouts, cybersecurity concepts, I/O wiring diagrams, CPU load calculations, cabinet layouts, and loop drawings. Prepare detailed PCS hardware designs and raise requisitions for required PCS hardware and software. Perform PCS software implementation including Cause & Effect configurations, scaling, alarming, interlocks, timers, MOS, POS, FO, PID loops, and system diagnostics. Configure and develop HMI graphics, animations, pop-ups, and detailed faceplates for all I/O and control objects. Implement complex control strategies including sequence routines, SFCs, cascade control, ratio control, and split-range control. Develop and configure inter- and intra-system communication interfaces using RS232, RS485, Ethernet, Modbus RTU/TCP, Vnet, and Vnet/IP protocols. Ensure engineering quality and compliance of PCS deliverables for both in-house and subcontracted work in accordance with contract and regulatory requirements. Review engineering drawings, schedules, specifications, and technical documents to ensure alignment with project requirements. Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of PCS engineering and project milestones. Liaise with SIS teams for interdisciplinary checks and integration activities. Take overall responsibility for the technical delivery of PCS scope within assigned projects. Communicate with customers on all technical matters related to PCS design and resolve design clarifications. Lead PCS technical review meetings and design discussions with customers. Ensure development, review, and quality of PCS project technical documentation prepared by the engineering team. Integrate PCS with ICSS sub-systems and ensure seamless system operation. Lead PCS activities during Design Validation Test (DVT), Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), and Integrated FAT (IFAT). Manage pre-commissioning and commissioning activities including site networks, SCADA, historians, alarm management, and system security. Perform site activities such as application testing, FAT punch closure, on-site modifications, SAT, start-up, system handover, and client training. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to PCS engineers and project team members. Demonstrate strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Requirements Minimum 8+ years of experience in PCS / DCS engineering within industrial automation projects. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechatronics). Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with DCS and PLC systems. Proven expertise in Yokogawa Centum VP is mandatory. Experience with Triconex SIS is a strong advantage. Ability to work on system design, implementation, testing, and commissioning activities. Strong understanding of industrial automation standards and best practices. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
