Design & Engineering
CPP has the largest in-house design and engineering team of any contractor in Australia, with over 170 specialists across Electrical Primary and Secondary, Civil, Structural, and SCADA disciplines. We provide end-to-end engineering solutions for high-voltage infrastructure, including nationally significant transmission projects, HV substations, wind farms and battery storage systems that drive Australia’s renewable energy transition.
Our engineers work closely with construction and operations teams, ensuring designs are practical, constructible, and continually refined through real-world feedback. With a commitment to innovation and excellence, we deliver solutions that support a stable, reliable, and sustainable energy future.
The Opportunity
Join our dynamic Primary Engineering Team at our Halifax Street head office in Adelaide and play a key role in delivering cutting-edge high-voltage infrastructure projects. From substations and transmission lines, to wind, solar and battery storage systems, you’ll contribute to the design and delivery of projects shaping Australia’s renewable energy future.
Leveraging your expertise in utility or renewable energy drafting, you will provide critical structural design support across the full project lifecycle ensuring high-quality, compliant, and timely outcomes that drive successful project execution.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

About You

Previous structural design/drafting experience in the utility or renewable energy industry
Sound knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
The ability to interpret and implement design information provided by Primary, Civil and Structural Design Engineers and Design Manager
Tertiary studies are favourable however not essential
