Senior Design Engineer (Civil Municipal )

We are looking for full-time Senior Civil Computer Aided Design (CAD) Designer, or Professional Engineer position. This position is for senior and experienced Engineering Designer or Professional Engineer to independently create civil engineering drawings, such as drainage grading plans, municipal servicing plans, similar diagrams. Under the direct guidance of the Municipal Services Manager, the candidate is expected to independently complete projects related to their field of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Creation of site grading plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and other site plans
• Convert raw in-house topographic survey data into site plans
• Creation of municipal servicing plans, such as sanitary sewer, stormwater sewer, and watermain
• Conduct periodic field visits and inspections as required
• Other responsibilities related to Civil Engineering

Requirements

• Must have absolute and full fluency in Civil 3D, as it is the majority of the workload
• Must demonstrate full mastery of site grading plans and municipal servicing principles, including independent work, problem identification, and design
• Must demonstrate full fluency in the English language
• Must be physically fit to conduct field-visits, including in remote locations
