KO Business Solutions is a family-owned consulting firm based out of the Chicagoland suburbs proud to be working with a veteran-owned, civil engineering firm in Lisle, IL. Our client is looking to add a Senior Design Engineer to their team, who will deliver high-quality civil engineering design drawings.
Schedule: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday
Location: Lisle, IL
Job-Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Salary: $80,000-$100,000

DESCRIPTION

The Senior Design Engineer will have an ability to maintain high-quality results while adhering established company standards and procedures. Some of their key responsibilities will be:

  • Preparing and editing engineering drawings, exhibits, and plans using CAD and design software.
  • Supporting civil engineers with visual design components for roadways, stormwater systems, utilities, and erosion control.
  • Assist with developing cost estimates, project documentation, and submittals for agency review.
  • Organize and maintain drawing files and templates while adhering to project standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5+ years of experience in engineering graphics or drafting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Prior experience with Bentley MicroStation
  • Experience with OpenRoads Designer preferred
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or certification as a Professional Licensed Engineer (PE) preferred
  • Familiarity with Civil/Site or Transportation Infrastructure projects preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to interpret civil engineering plans
  • Technical Writing Proficiency
  • Strong attention to detail
