Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities and functions: Engineer is responsible for performing sustaining engineering activities for UPS, single phase power distribution systems, Rack Power Distribution Unit (RPDU), Rack ATS and Ecostruxure MDC.Core function of job is to drive investigation and resolution of issues that negatively affect the quality, performance, and reliability of these products. Identifying cost-saving opportunities in product design and production processes Conducting value analysis, value engineering studies and cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making Create Test set ups to support the validation of parts and products as part of continuous improvements. Responsibilities will include support of Manufacturing plants, Engineering Teams, Offer Management and Offer Quality group through corrective actions to resolve manufacturing/field issues and bringing in new features. Design of experiments to support in simulating critical field failures and analyze root cause. Understanding of BOM structure, making changes in BOM and implementation changes with pilot validation process is essential. Knowledge and skills-required: Strong knowledge and experience in single and three phase power electronics, distribution, and control devices. Ability to understand the product functioning from schematics and perform part/product testing and analysis. Ability to work with lab equipments like, Oscilloscopes, NHR Load equipment and AC/DC power sources. Should have good analytical and problem solving skills in resolving complex technical issues using 7 Step, 6 Sigma or 8D methodologies. Should have good knowledge on tools like FMEA, RCA, FTA, CTQ..etc Exposure to Regulatory and Compliance standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal communication skills and experience in working with global teams. Be able to work effectively in cross functional teams. Work Experience Skill Set Required: Experience in QVE/Value engineering in Power electronics products Qualification : Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communication or equivalent
